Oarfluence

How it works

How the ledger is kept

Who is tracked

Oarfluence tracks any X account whose posts match the Oarcoin conversation: the word Oarcoin, the $OAR ticker, or the @oarcoinhandle. Matching happens against both the visible text and X's parsed entities, so quote captions and symbol mentions count too. Pure retweets are skipped; the original post is what matters, and it should count once.

The score

Each account's cumulative engagement is weighted into a single influence score:

score = views × 1 + reposts × 10 + replies × 4

Reposts weight heavily because they extend reach; replies reward the conversational signal. The weights are configurable and published here so the index stays legible. Scores are cumulative since an account entered the ledger; Oarfluence rewards consistency, not one lucky post.

The weekly read

Every Monday the pool is re-ranked from the stored record and written to an append-only weekly snapshot. Each account gets a percentile: rank over pool, shown as “Top X%”, and the leaderboard you see is always the latest completed snapshot, never a live scrape. Keeping history lets the movement column show who is rising.

Independence & limits

Oarfluence is an independent index, not affiliated with Oarcoin, the reserve, or X. It reflects only what is publicly posted, may miss deleted or non-indexed posts, and counts engagement numbers as reported by the data provider at ingestion time. Flagged posts (very short mentions, or entity-only matches) are set aside for editorial review rather than silently excluded.
